How to choose a good shoe?
The heel counter of the shoe must be rigid.
The shoe must resist the midfoot torsion.
The shoe must only bend on the fisrt anterior third.
The Running shoe.
When buying a new running shoe, it is important to identify the patient's needs, depending on the person's weight, running objectives, type of stride or even the existing pathologies.
These different factors must be targeted in order to choose the most suitable shoe and find the right compromise between cushioning, stability and dynamism.
These points will be analyzed during the consultation to propose the type of shoe that corresponds to the patient's needs.
What about the minimalist shoe ?
The minimalist shoe is a type of shoe that aims to approximate the barefoot stride by offering an ultra thin sole, light weight, low or null drop and a bigger toe box.
This type of shoes brings dynamism and other advantages to certain types of runners, but may not be suitable for others.
According to Volodalen® Labs, there is a valid method to classify runners into two groups:
Aerial pattern
Terrestrial pattern
In a consultation, we determine which type of runner you are by performing a series of tests in order to suggest the right shoe for your stride.
